Vang Dalat Winery, founded in 1999, is recognized as the birthplace of Vietnam’s modern wine industry. Situated in the cool highlands of Dalat, at approximately 1,500 meters above sea level, the winery was established to transform local table grapes into refined wines that reflect Vietnam’s unique terroir.

Operated by Ladofoods, Vang Dalat combines French winemaking expertise with innovative tropical viticulture techniques. Over the past two decades, it has evolved from a local curiosity into a national symbol of quality and craftsmanship.

Vineyard Location & Terroir

The Dalat Plateau enjoys a temperate mountain climate with cool nights, mild days, and well-drained volcanic soils — ideal conditions for grape growing in Southeast Asia. Ample sunlight and significant diurnal temperature variation help the grapes retain freshness and vibrant acidity.

This unique highland terroir imparts balance and aromatic purity to the wines, giving Vang Dalat its distinct fruit-forward yet elegant style.

Grape Varieties & Wine Style

Vang Dalat cultivates both international and local varieties, including Cardinal, Syrah, Merlot, and Chardonnay. The wines express bright red fruit, gentle tannins, and floral undertones, often with a touch of tropical sweetness that reflects the Vietnamese climate.

The style is approachable, medium-bodied, and harmoniously balanced — perfect for pairing with Southeast Asian cuisine.
